    A PDF or a photo of a tax form, a receipt or a bill.

  2. Countorra reads it

    It works out what the document is and reads its boxes.

  3. You check

    Each figure is shown with where it came from. Change anything that's off.

  4. You confirm

    Only then are the figures used, in your tax year.

How it works.

  1. Step 1

    Upload a document

    A PDF or a photo — JPEG, PNG, WEBP, TIFF or BMP — up to 20 MB.

  2. Step 2

    Countorra reads it

    It works out what the document is and reads it. A W-2 is read by a reader built for W-2s; a receipt by one that picks out the shop, the date and the totals.

  3. Step 3

    You check what it found

    You see each box it read. Change anything that's off. A box it couldn't read stays empty — it never guesses.

  4. Step 4

    You confirm

    Choose Confirm and the figures go into your tax year, each marked with the document it came from.

Each figure says which box it came from. None of them is used until you choose Confirm.

Why it matters.

No retyping
The boxes are read for you. You check them instead of copying them.
Every number has a source
Each confirmed figure is marked with the document and box it came from.
Nothing counted twice
Uploading the same form twice is spotted before it's counted twice.
