Receipts by email
Forward a receipt to your private address and it lands in Documents and finds its charge.
In Settings → Integrations, open Receipts by email and choose Make a forwarding address. Send or forward receipts to it: a PDF or photo attached to the email is kept as it is (up to 3 MB each), and a receipt written in the email itself, as Uber, Lyft, DoorDash and Amazon send them, is kept as a PDF of its words. Each is read and matched to its charge on Receipts.
Only your own addresses can send to it: the email you sign in with, and addresses you add under Who can send to it. Adding one emails it a link; once the link is used, mail from that address is accepted. Email from anyone else is dropped and counted, never kept.
To forward receipts on their own, open Forward receipts on their own in the same sheet and pick your email service. Gmail: add your forwarding address under Settings → Forwarding and POP/IMAP, enter the confirmation code Gmail sends (it appears on Documents), then make a filter from the ready-made search that forwards to it. iCloud Mail: on icloud.com, add a rule per word (receipt, invoice, order confirmation) that forwards to it. Yahoo Mail: forward receipts by hand; Yahoo's automatic forwarding sends all your mail, not only receipts, so leave it off. Outlook: connect it directly with Outlook receipts instead.
The forwarding mailbox must be your sign-in email or an address you've added.
Receipts by email is part of Countorra Tax. Make a new address to retire the old one, or turn it off; receipts already received stay in Documents.
