Reports
Income and spending for any period: what came in, where it went, and what was left.
Reports show a statement for the date range you choose: income, then expenses by category, then the net — what you saved, or how much you spent beyond what came in — and your savings rate. Each figure is set against the period before: the whole previous month for a month, the same days of last month for a month so far, the same dates last year for a year so far, and otherwise the same number of days just before. Below the statement are the biggest changes by category, the merchants you spent most with, and month by month for longer periods.
Download the statement as a CSV. Cash flow shows twelve months side by side, and Net worth its history by month.
Budget vs. actual lists every budget category — Budgeted, Actual, and the difference in dollars and percent — grouped like the Budget page, with subtotals and a total; over-budget rows are marked. Choose this month, last month, this quarter, year to date, the last 12 months or your own dates (a month your dates cover only in part counts its budget by its share of days; money rolled over from earlier months isn't counted). Click a row to see that category's transactions for the period. Export it as a PDF (a print layout you save with your browser's Save as PDF), CSV or Excel, and it's a tab in the Google Sheets sync.
Each report remembers the period and filters you used last. Saved views keeps named ones ("Groceries this year") — a view saves the period, not the figures, so it always opens on today's books.
Share makes a read-only link to a report as it is now: it lasts 7 days, you can turn it off at any time, and it shows category names and figures only — never an account, account number, merchant or transaction. Anyone with the link can open it, so share it only with people you mean to.
Ask Countorra can prepare the same statement, and compare one period with another.
